These croissants are made with charcoal and have no butter — here’s how they tasted

London cafe Coco di Mama sells a croissant made with activated charcoal. The charcoal gives the pastry its black colour. The croissant is also vegan and made with sunflower margarine instead of butter. The croissants cost £1.80 to take away and £2.15 to eat in.
